So I'm officially in my level 2 of internship. I am still placed in my first grade classroom and I can't believe how close I've gotten to my CT and my students! While I've already decided that I don't think I want to teach first grade for real, I'm so nervous about switching for next year!
Since I'm in a primary grade for level 1 and level 2, I'm required to switch to an intermediate grade for level 3 and then for my final internship(student teaching) I get to choose where I would like to be placed (as long as there is a CT available). Unfortunately there are no current 3rd grade CTs who are taking interns which means that I will be placed in either 4th or 5th grade for Fall. I don't know why this scares me so much, but it does. I think I'm worried about the kids being mean, which is crazy, I know. I think I just need to find my true "teacher voice" before I get there. The more comfortable I am in front of students, the more confidence I will have as their teacher.
